Help me E-Scoot matchmake?
I live in a city and just a couple miles from work. Our little junk car has another issue that has me returning to researching electric scooters as an option. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed though and every time I think I found the one- I look on this subreddit and find out something terrible about the model or brand. Any help or insights would be appreciated!
My main concern is
- Tires: All-terrain or fat tires are preferred. I live in an urban area that gets snow in the winter, while I know E-Scooters aren't waterproof, I'd just like some reassurance that it won't slide /that/ easily if I hit an ice patch or some gravel or what not.
- Longevity: I understand there will be some upkeep and maintenance involved (resources welcomed!) but getting out of having a car that had chronic issues, something sturdy would be nice.
- Under 1k if possible: Honestly looking for around $500
I work 4-days a week, and would be riding 6 about miles a day in an urban environment. I don't need it to be super fast or powerful (not too many hills on my commute) just something simple, reliable, and with good tires. Lights for urban riding safety would also be nice- but I can also buy those separately.
