How Relevant is Commander Damage in Your Decks?
How many of your decks are built to win through commander damage?
Of course, Voltron decks want to win through commander damage, but what about decks where your commander can be big but it's not necessarily your main gameplan? Commanders like [[Vadrik, Astral Archmage]] and [[Halana and Alena, Partners]] are both examples of ones that want to get bigger but winning through commander damage isn't the priority.
In my latest article, I talk about two commanders that can grow bigger while reducing the costing cast of the instants and sorceries you cast, [[Vadrik, Astral Archmage]] and [[Melek, Reforged Researcher]]. Both can be big, but maybe the focus is on casting big burn spells or filling the board with tokens. Do you intentionally include ways to win through commander damage like with [[Temur Battle Rage]]? Let me know down below!
