Why is Chel is always last?

Of all the sports video games released in the fall, NHL is behind EVERY other one by OVER a month.
Why is this? Madden somewhat is excusable since the league starts earlier, but the NBA starts at the same time.
Also, it wasn't always like this. Nhl 20's trailer was released on June 19, the game was released on September 13. Up until Covid, the games were always revealed and released at the same time or earlier than other sports games.
With each passing year, It feels like there is less hype, less buildup for this game. Even this sub has hardly discussed the next installment, and it's nearly August.
Chel is kind of like when you split into groups to do a large assignment, and there's that one group who just doesn't care, leaves it to the last minute, gets an extension, and then presents some half baked crap at the end of the course and pretends to act like they are excited and proud about what they put together.
