Transmission Swap
Not sure if this is the place to post this, but Im giving it a shot lol. Recently bought this cutie, it has an m52b28 swap. Previous owner said it currently has a manual transmission from an e30 318is. Im not to sure what transmission that is tbh but down shifts into 3 grind a tiny bit and when Im going from 4th to 5th it grinds In neutral like right before i even go up to 5th which has me a bit confused. Anyway I have a zf5 trans sitting around and I figured instead of trying to fix up the transmission it has in it rn I might as well swap in that zf. My question(s) is what are the main things that change when doing that swap? The zf should bolt straight on to the m52 no? And I heard the clutch can apparently be swapped over from the current trans, but what else may I need. I have a ton of spare parts that came with that zf5 and i just wanna know how much of it will i actually need. Thanks in advance friends
