Till Death Do Us Part is frustrating. Is the rest of the game like this?

So I reach level 13 or 14 someone tells me that scummy Ser Ludolph is trying to steal Margit from good Ser Gregor by sending Ser Gregor to fight a Dullahan. I'm like "oh no, this is some serious business, I'll help."

So then I go talk to Margit and she tells me time is of the essence. The quest has a little hourglass timer.

I'm like "oh crap, I have to do this right away so he doesn't die." And so I rush off to save Ser Gregor.

The location on the map is like FOREVER FAR AWAY and there's NO MARKED PATH so I just have to kind of wander in that direction and hope I get there.

I run across the countryside, mostly afraid to explore, mostly afraid to rest, mostly afraid to find campsites, because I don't want too much time to expire.

I get to a ring of mountains around the swamp. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A WAY IN. I wander around in the mountains forever.

I finally find a way into the swamp through this tiny ravine, but it's absolutely pitch-black in there and nothing is marked and there's impassable cliffs and drop-offs and deep water everywhere. I wander around for even more because it's dark and I can't find my way.

I get attacked by zombies and get down to like a quarter of health.

I FINALLY find Ser Gregor and WHAT THE HECK, this Dullahan one-shots me, even if I'm shielding. So I keep trying and my health bar gets smaller with each attempt.

I finally get the Dullahan to half health (like after twenty minutes of kiting him and hiding and reviving my pawns every chance I get) and he leaves. Then they tell me Ser Gregor is dead. No problem, I have a Wakestone. But I can't find his body! So I search the entire island and finally find a body marked ??? so I use the Wakestone on him. AND IT'S NOT GREGOR, IT'S SOME RANDOM MANSERVANT.

I THEN FIND GREGOR SUBMERGED UNDER SOME BUSHES NEAR THE WATER, NOT EVEN VISIBLE IN THIS DARN MISTY SWAMP.

And then the game saves right there and then, so no chance to try over.

I have to hike back 40 kilometers to tell Margit her husband's dead. She cries and I feel terrible. I then google "where is Ser Ludolph" so that I can pay him a visit and beat him up for arranging Gregor to die. AND THEN I FIND OUT HE'S NOT EVEN A REAL NPC IN THE GAME. So no revenge plot for me.

Anyways, spent probably four hours of gaming time on this quest and honestly did not enjoy myself very much. Is the rest of the game this obtuse and hard to navigate?
