I’ve fallen in love with 2 but

Should I play through the first game or just enjoy my time with 2? I’ve heard both games are extremely similar 2 just adds 2 classes and a bigger world, I love waking around and (forcefully) joining the caravan guard, and don’t want to feel like I’m taking away all the fun but wanna play more and feel like I’m doing more
