Löflife weekly waivers - GW20

Hey!

Follow me on X: https://x.com/peter_lof for Draft updates.

There have been some injuries and suspensions since the last waivers. Let’s go through them:

Injuries & Suspensions

  • Jarrod Bowen: Early reports suggest he’s out until February, which means at least four games, probably more. He’s a borderline keep if your team can handle that and wait for more info.
  • Joe Gomez: "Is not in a good place: out for a few weeks" - Slot. Drop.
  • Matheus Cunha: Lucky break for his owners, only suspended this game also.

Other notable updates:

  • Schar, Timber, and Rogers have reached the yellow card suspension threshold.
  • Durán’s suspension could be extended due to his behavior after being sent off against Newcastle. However, with Ollie scoring a penalty and providing an assist against Brighton, the pendulum may have swung back in Ollie’s favor.

The transfer window is open, and I always recommend keeping an eye out for new signings, here we find the gems that cement our league victory!

Goalkeepers

Last week, I missed mentioning Dubravka, who is still starting for Newcastle. Luckily for me I picked him up last minute for my team (as some of you may have seen on X). An option.

Ortega (MCI) vs. Bowen-less West Ham:
Backing City to win two in a row seems reasonable against a toothless West Ham. But can they keep the CS.

Defenders

Jarell Quansah (LIV) – vs. Man United

With Gomez and Konaté out, Quansah should start. United haven’t scored in three straight games, and Liverpool are heavy favorites.

Dean Huijsen (BOU) – vs. Everton

Back on the list but Kerkez and Zabarnyi are also great options. Everton struggles to score (just 15 goals this season), making Bournemouth defenders solid picks.

Timothy Castagne (FUL) – vs. Ipswich

Fulham are unbeaten in six, including a draw with Liverpool and a win over Chelsea. Castagne is a great option from their def

Riccardo Calafiori (ARS) – vs. Brighton

His stats look great, but he’s been a bit shaky in games i've watched. Still, Timber’s suspension likely guarantees his start. Brighton, winless in seven and surely they won't be saved by another stupid Arsenal red card in this game? :D

Midfielders

Leon Bailey (AVL) – vs. Leicester

Disappointing season so far (2 assists), but his 7 shots and 3 key passes against Brighton hint at potential. Leicester’s defense might help him improve, most goals conceded in the league.

Savio (MCI) – vs. West Ham

Finally delivered against Leicester. Now faces a struggling West Ham side thrashed by Liverpool. Confidence boost? Let’s hope so.

Harry Wilson (FUL) – vs. Ipswich

They have rotated between Wilson and Adama but i think Wilson is very likely to start in a game where Fulham should dominate possession. Like him the most from the Fulham attack if he starts.

Dominik Szoboszlai (LIV) – vs. Man United

We saw what he did to poor Spurs (1 goal, 3 assists). If United persist with Amorim’s tactics, Szoboszlai could run riot. This should be the game they go park the bus but i'm not sure he will.
Worth picking up if available.

Strikers

Options remain slim

Paul Onuachu (SOU) – vs. Brentford

Lively performances against West Ham (8 shots, 1.5xG against). Worth a gamble and hope he gets another go. Can see Southampton getting a result here, they have improved after the manager switch.

Niclas Füllkrug (WHU) Likely cemented his spot and is the best long-term pickup for a third striker.

Armando Broja (EVE) Got a start for Everton, but the fixture this week isn’t favorable. Keep an eye out and see if he plays again. DCL have been hopeless this season.
