Stepping down?

I am a recently promoted SM from Ops ASM (ft). I was placed in a store where the numbers are ridiculous;over 300+ zero sale, all of the team has to be retrained, planograms set incorrectly, the list goes on and on. I am wanting guidance as far as stepping back down. I miss the town I was in at the store I was at before as well as the people and organization of it all. I'm not worried about the pay cut or going back to hourly, I just really don't want to end up hating work again.

TLDR: I'm tired of commuting an hour west for a store that's beyond my control of being "fixed" and want to go back to ASM position.
