Leaving a new job after 8 months
About 8 months into a new job, was hired via a recruitment agency.
I knew pretty quickly I made a mistake joining but have tried to stick it out and not make any hasty decisions.
It’s a small company and I know that it will go down badly, especially as the company is at a volatile place right now, working towards getting a big contract on features that I was hired to lead the development on.
Boss who is non tech micro manages every decision, if I tell him I’m stuck on anything I have to do a call to justify the issue, then he will send me AI responses or articles on how to fix the bug. As developers you can only imagine how frustrating this is!
I’m tired of explaining myself.
Will they get any money back from the recruitment company or be out of pocket?
What are your views on leaving a new position after someone has invested heavily in you?
Ultimately the company are in a better position than were I started thanks to my work and I can proudly say I have had a positive impact.
