rhythm heaven audio delayed

hey everyone! ive recently downloaded rhythm heaven, and ive noticed the audio doesnt exactly sync up with the blocks, making it extremely difficult to pass even the first level. does anyone know how to fix this, or anyone else struggling with the same issue?
