Taking Photos and Videos of Ourselves is a Form of Facilitating the Mimicry of Allah's Creation

In Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, it is stated that drawing human faces is not allowed because it is seen as mimicking Allah’s creation. However, doesn’t taking photos and videos of people also fall under this same principle? After all, videos are essentially a series of photos stitched together. Some apologists might argue that it is the camera taking the pictures, not the person, but even then, aren’t we facilitating or acting as a medium for the camera to capture an image that mirrors Allah's creation?
