What writer comes to mind first when you hear DC Comics mentioned?

For me, it has to be Geoff Johns. I got into comics around 2010, and a lot of the first stuff I read was by Geoff Johns. His green lantern is imo the best ever on the character and one of my favourite ever arcs. He also did amazing work on flash, aquaman, teen titans, batman earth one, superman, and imo for the most part, the best ever justice league run. He just seemed to be able to get the best out of so many characters as well as have such engaging storylines. I started off as only reading Batman, but he made me appreciated so many other DC characters and expand my taste.

Edit: I am not saying I like this guy, I really don’t from what I’ve heard. I’m speaking purely in writer terms, for the positive impact he had on sheer amount of DC characters, and his ‘peak’ of writing for DC mirrors my start into comics
