ODI tri series

I’ve just come back to Australia after living overseas for a while, and I was expecting an ODI tri-series now that the India-Australia Test series is over. I remember we used to have a regular tri-series every summer with Australia and two other teams, but after googling it seems it hasn't happened for a while. Does anyone know what happened to it? Did it get phased out and replaced with T20?
