Does fan count visibility impact potential subscribers?

Do potential subs consider fan count and likes when deciding to subscribe to a paid page, or is that just our assumption? If they do, do you display your fan count, and at what number do you choose to show it? I currently don’t have mine displayed and have 24 fans, 148 posts (232 media), and 754 likes. Wondering if showing the fan to likes ratio would help or hurt me.
