Any recommendations/advice for cruises via Costco?

We are a family of three and looking to go on a 7 day cruise. A priority is fun for our son while aboard (water slides, pools, entertainment, etc.) and as a family leaving port and taking in some culture. We need warm weather so no Alaska. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences - both positive and negative.
