Forklift Drivers a Question

I'm just curious as to how other warehouses operate with their drivers. I know that there will be differences, but I'm curious as to how it compares to mine.

We come in at 5am, are expected to take lunch starting at 7am, and then expected to be up front and as cashiers by open. I have no problem with this, but we get no relief coverage until 12-1230, and we are lucky if we can have our first 15 before 11am and our last before 1pm sometimes. It just doesn't seem fair to the cashiers, as it forces them to only work mid to closing shifts.

It's a stark contrast to when we opened, as we always used to have cashiers in the warehouse then, and drivers could take a 15 at 7am, then a lunch when we opened, and then another 15 later.

Again, I'm just curious, and trying to learn more about it. As some of my fellow drivers are pretty much done with the warehouse at this point, and if I can be a little selfish and help them possibly understand the situation better, I can possibly keep them from leaving and tripling my work load 😅
