Can’t fully empty my bowels
Ever since my boyfriend and I became sexually intimate in November 2023, I’ve been experiencing issues with bloating and bowel movements. I’m not sure if the timing is related, but that’s when I started struggling to have a full, complete bowel movement. It often feels like I can’t fully empty my bowels, and I’ve been dealing with this issue ever since.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far to improve the situation: • Eating a banana and an apple daily • Drinking 2-3 bottles of water • Eating probiotic yogurt • Staying somewhat active • Taking two stool softener pills every night (as recommended by my doctor, who assured me they’re safe and unlikely to cause side effects)
Recently, I took magnesium citrate because my bloating became very uncomfortable. While it wasn’t painful, it caused physical discomfort. The magnesium citrate worked and gave me some relief, but now, just one day later, I’m back to square one and still struggling to go.
I’ve spoken to my doctor about this issue, and they believe it’s constipation. Their advice was to eat more fruits, exercise regularly, and continue using stool softeners to help keep things moving. Despite following these recommendations, I’m still having trouble and would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on what else I can do to improve my condition.
If this is too much information, I apologize, but I feel it’s important to be specific about what I’m dealing with. My bowel movements are often small lumps, soft blobs with clear-cut edges, or clumped lumps.
