Is my electric heat bill normal?

Hi everyone!

I just moved into a 600 square foot one bedroom apartment. It is an apartment attached to a house and the combined square footage is 1400, but our electric bills are separate. I knew electric heat would be expensive, but I'm looking at my electric bill and it seems like a lot. My first electric bill was from 12/30 to 1/3 (four days) and it was around $120.

I thought I was being smart about my heat usage (which I still think I am) but I would like your thoughts. The living, bedroom, and bathroom each have their own thermostat. When I'm home, I'm usually in the living room. I keep the heat in the bedroom and bathroom completely off. As for the living room, I keep it at a comfortable temperature but not super warm. I usually bundle up a bit because I get chilly even with this. At night, I turn off the heat for the living room and keep it off for the bathroom, and turn it on in my bedroom (which I keep a bit cold to sleep). I work Monday through Friday and am gone for 9 hours each day, during which I have all of the heat completely off. Any time I know I'm going to be gone for more than two to three hours, it's completely off. If I'm only going to be gone for a few hours, I keep the living room heat on at the lowest temperature.

Am I doing something wrong? Is $120 for 4 days with this usage normal? I don't want an electric bill that's going to be $900 a month. Any input is appreciated!
