I have a question for experienced players who know what they are talking about. I seem to misunderstand the damage mechanic. 3 of my damaged heavy bombers (lvl 4) have 31.2 damage versus soft targets and have “storm position”. Doesn’t it mean they should one-shot lvl 7 infantry which has 25 hp?

Also, the second question is: recently I have faced situation, when stack of my naval officer and 4 cruisers were attacking stack of enemy’s 4 cruisers (they didn’t have stealth officer in there as I would have gotten the notification that I hit the elite stack I assume), and the damage input was actually reduced about 53% comparing to what stats in the tab said. Moreover, I didn’t get hit back, so there is no way random damage or other circumstances could affect damage. Later on I attacked 1 single cruiser with the same stack and damage once again was reduced more than in half. What could it be?
