Concussion-like symptoms 2 years later
Hi all, I had a few concussions when I was younger, but i saw UPMC's top concussion specialist and he said that due to the time between concussions, my brain had time to heal and I had nothing to worry about. In January of 2022 I slipped on some ice and hit my head off the sidewalk, which resulted in a concussion. The UPMC specialist said the concussion was not severe enough to cause long term issues that I could not fully recover from (he said if it was that serious he would tell me). Said concussion took about 4 months to "recover" from, but even 2 years later I still get migraines/headaches at a pretty frequent rate and I have this lingering brain fog that I cannot seem to shake. I did a chiropractor program to make sure it wasnt my neck but my symptoms did not improve. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to get better? or is having symptoms like this 2 years later "normal"? I eat super healthy and workout everyday so I dont think my lifestyle is causing these lingering symptoms. Any feedback/advice is greatly appreciated!
