Arrow buttons on Epico remote to control TV?

I'm a little annoyed at the remote and the Epico environment. It's making me keep 2 remotes around. I also have an Apple tv connected to my TV, and it works so much better. I know, first world problems, but it's annoying.

Turn on Apple TV, it starts the TV and the TV realizes input is on HDMI3 and switches itself. Perfect. Unfortunately, can't get the 4k channels using Epico app on Apple TV box.

Turn on Epico box, TV stays off. Fine, press the TV power button. TV comes on, but is on wrong input. Fine. Click the 'input' button on the Epico remote, TV shows the input list. Great! BUT, I can not use the Epico control arrow buttons. They aren't sent to the TV. So I need to grab the TV remote, just to set the input.

I'd do everything on the Apple box if I could, but the Epico app on Apple TV won't play the sportsnet 4k channels.

Edit: resolved. I knew I was subscribed to 4k channels, could see then elsewhere. Just not on AppleTV. Fully deleted app in AppleTV, reinstalled, can see channels in subscribed list and can view them.

Can put Epico box in drawer. Yay.
