Anyone lived in Crittenden court or apartments at Nautica?
Can anyone give me an insight about these two apartments? I'll be working at MetroHealth, single 29F, might bring my dog back home around July after moving to Cleveland. I initially thought of Tremont as an option as it is clearly nearby the hospital but I just...love the views of the bridge and the lake. I initially applied to Crittenden court and got approved on Friday, but has not paid security and signed the contract yet.
Apartments at Nautica:
2 bed 1.5 bath, $1,383/mo, covered parking $80, water and sewage included in rent, 4th floor
Pro: Huge window, 2 bedroom (might be having guests?), larger (940 sqft), love the high ceilings, view is better (Not sure if 1 mo free + 12 mo lease is going to apply for me too), I'll be living with my partner in next year so if that happens I will be able to settle here without the hassle of moving out
Con: Old building (built in 1920)--might be crazy noise issues which I might consider as a dealbreaker (?), no in unit laundry machine, looks like it will be cold in the winter, no package concierge
Crittenden court apartment:
1 bed 1 bath, $1295/mo, covered parking $134, no utilities included, 17th floor (best views)
Pro: relatively new (1995 built), great location near downtown, in unit laundry machine, more tenants in my age whom I might be able to become friends
Con: smaller unit but about the same price, not qualify for 12+1 lease event, smaller window, not sure about the ceiling height
Not having a laundry machine in the unit is not a dealbreaker for me. I wonder if apartments at Nautica has lot of noise issues given that it was built in 1920s. Otherwise both options sound like pretty nice and affordable options. I don't know about the area and how you guys feel about the safety near those two apartments but based on my research those two are definitely walkable.
If anyone has something to say about these two apartments please let me know!
Thanks!
