Moving to Cleveland!

Hey everyone,

I am a 26F moving to Cleveland in June. I'll be starting residency at Metro and wanted recommendations on where to live in the area. I have heard that OHC/Tremont/Lakewood are the way to go.

But a big thing for me is safety. Now I know this is all subjective (Grew up in KC; albeit the suburbs) but since I am by myself I would like to be in a place where I don't have to worry too much after coming back from a night shift or a late day at the hospital.

Note: I've been looking at Apartments like The Abbey, TREO, Church + State and a few others. I've heard that it's especially better to have a secured surface lot or garage for your car and to try and avoid street parking if possible. Any other recommendations?
