Rodents in my BBQ

I’ve inherited a bbq from my GF dad. I have NOT used it to cook yet. rodents have been in side. No big nest or anything but have spoiled themselves on the grill top. Is this worth cleaning out and keeping ? If so what’s the best way to clean it?
