How to remove carpet stain remover suds from carpet?

So I got the stain out of the carpet... but at what cost? I am in the middle of moving and I am so tired and making a lot of stupid mistakes. Today's stupid mistake was using way too much carpet stain remover foam on a small section of carpet.

I've spent an hour already just... wetting the area and dragging my hand over it to catch handfuls of suds. There doesn't seem to be any end to it. I am guessing this is my only option... but does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like i am losing my mind. I wanted to be out today, but I feel like this damn spot of carpet is going to be my undoing.
