Salem Ohio Police department retires K9s trained in marijuana detection
Salem’s Police Department Wednesday announced the retirement of both of their K9s.
According to a press release, K9 Simon and Argo were both trained in the detection of marijuana.
With the recent legalization of weed in Ohio, Simon, Argo and an estimated 300 other K9s in the state will be retired. An official retirement date will be announced soon.
The department’s K9 handlers will remain, and two new dogs will be selected and sent to training.
