Good vs. bad father

According to the bible, one should honor his parents and obey his parents.

Well, does this all apply to any parents or just to parents who are walking with the lord or at least have faith/belief in god?

I mean, if i look back on when I was a child/youth, and I remember my father being anti-religion, god-cursing, abusive, drunkard, angry and hot-tempered, treating everyone badly except for higher-ups, letting me wear pink-colored clothes (i didn't knew about homosexuality or stuff like that back then, the association with pink idk, but i don't wanna go off on a tangent) just to get almost beaten up in class and to learn it the hard way that pink is not for boys instead of just telling me that would be the outcome if i wear such a piece of cloth... another time he wanted me to steal a newspaper, he said, just pretend to put coins into it and pull out a newspaper for me when you go past next time.

In short, does the verses in the bible apply to such "fathers"? I really hope it does not.

You can be honest and frank about it, it is long ago and it does not affect me emotionally that much, so you can't pull any triggers I guess.

Just tell me the truth. Edit: And how to deal with such a father if he is old and on no contact since 10 years? (means, I broke the contact 10 years ago for good)
