Here is my controversial take.

I know this most likely won’t be taken well, but I want to be honest. If A LOT of people are saying that Chipotle has declined, then the company needs to take responsibility. Telling customers to "just eat somewhere else" or that "Chipotle is overrated; go to Moe's instead" isn't the solution you think it is. The company should acknowledge its faults and revert back to the way it used to be; otherwise, they’re going to be responsible for their own downfall. There was a time when Chipotle was bustling with long lines because the portions were generous, the food tasted better than how it tastes now, and the prices were fair. I completely understand that the employees are not at fault. They’re only doing what’s commanded and frustrations shouldn’t be taken out on any employee just doing their job. With that being said, the frustrations of the consumer (many consumers in the case) are valid and they shouldn’t just be dismissed.
