I am new to Catholicism what is something you learned as a convert?

I am new to the Catholic Church, my wife is a life long Catholic. I have been a Protestant most of my life and knowing what I have learned from rereading the Bible I am confused as to why Protestants believe so much nonsense about the Catholic faith. I cannot go back to where I came from, I just feel like I have been lied to my whole life, any other people who converted from other faiths?
