Bringing home outdoor cat

My husband will be bringing home his work cat this Friday and I really need some advice. For some context, my husband works at a shop on a farm that has outdoor cats that his boss takes care of. The shop adopted a pair of sisters in mid 2023, but one of the cats passed away a few months ago and the remaining sister hasn't been the same since, so they want us to take her home with us. My husband and the cat are basically best friends - she loves sitting on his shoulders while he works and constantly follows him around when she wants attention. We both love her to pieces and are super excited to bring her home.

But I'm honestly a bit worried/nervous about everything. I had cats growing up that were declawed (which I know now is a pretty horrible thing to have done) so I'm really unfamiliar with how to deal with scratching, especially since our cat is used to being able to scratch on whatever she wants - I collect vintage/antique items that I really don't want torn up if it can be avoided. We already bought her a scratching post and a cat tower, which I'm hoping will help. I'm also unsure on how we should introduce her to living inside 24/7 when she's used to being able to go out and explore. She does prefer to hang out inside the shop much more than the other shop cats, but I'm not sure how that will translate to indoor living. Any advice is appreciated!!

TLDR: Need advice on bringing outdoor, but not feral, cat to live inside and how to prevent scratching up furniture and rugs.
