Gabapentin for cat

Does anyone here administer liquid gabapentin to their cat? If so, can you tell me what it looks like? The prescription from the vet hospital was a clear, odorless liquid. I refilled at a compound pharmacy and this prescription is milky off-white in color and has a slight odor. I’m wondering if this is normal and am hesitant to give to my cat. It also instructed to shake well, which the previous prescription did not. I can’t call the pharmacy till tomorrow and wondered if anyone here can advise. I also posted in ask a vet. Thank you!
