Getting out of the CRA call Center

Hey everybody; I’m a SP05 in the CRA call Center and I’ve been trying to break out into another field for over a year (primarily audit). I’ve been AU qualified for over a year after going through 4 university accounting courses paid for by the CRA and I’ve been sitting in 4 or 5 different pools for over a year. I also have a business degree. With some of the pools - I’ve gone very far in the process but it seems like an endless waiting game, no interviews. It’s tough advancing in the regions especially where you’re not bilingual. But I do very well at my job; well enough to get roles doing coaching, training and support for my current job. My current boss, previous boss love me and are actively advocating on my behalf to audit and staffers. Has anyone had any success breaking out of the call Center recently (at CRA or elsewhere in the federal government) and what steps could I take to help move the process along) . Ive been spending my free time learning French and over the past couple of months I’ve gone from probably a A2 level to a B1 level. I still need more work before I’d be comfortable doing the test and working in a second language. Maybe there are some Facebook groups or networking events that i need to be involved with. Thanks
