Tell me about yourself

I am Anakin Skywalker and I graduated from VIT University in the stream of Mechanical Engineering. The course helped me develop a solid foundation in analytical thinking and people engagement skills. After my graduation I joined Jedi Academy which is an American conglomerate as an assistant project engineer. I was working in the corporate recruitment division and at the pinnacle of my career with the Jedi Academy, I had the opportunity to lead a team of 5 recruiters. In addition to that, I reported directly to my CEO Obi-Wan Kenobi and it helped me strategize recruitment decision and ..../I fumbled a bit here/ I would end my brief with expressing my passion to join MBA to focus on Tech areas .../fumbled again/

You have a robust career in recruitment. In your career who do you consider as your inspiration and what did you learn from him?

My role model and inspiration in my career so far would be my former CEO Obi wan Kenobi and I consider him by mentor and a professional guide when it comes to recruitment. My CEO was a busy man and he did not have time for everyone. That greatly helped me articulate my thoughts and express only what's necessary and to not digress from the topic of discussion.

As you have spoken in great lengths about Mr Obi Wan Kenobi, tell me an instance where you suggested a change and it got implemented? And the challenges you faced while implementing and how did you support your team with it?

When I joined the recruitment team, most of the job posting on platforms like Naukri or say, Linkedin was primarily text based. As I had some experience with this graphic tool called Canva which helps you make posters and presentations. I suggested my CEO that it would be good idea to start using the tool to make graphical job postings. As we live in a fast world, people tend to ignore really good opportunities because it failed to attract them and implementing this change increased the relevant candidate turnup ratio. My team did not have experience with this tool but I organized a session in order to them about it. The team got the hang of it and were posting job posters in a span of 2 weeks.
