Best Food Additive to Hide Drugs

My cat seems to be able to ID any food spiked with drugs, no matter which way we try to hide it. Normally we would just stick a loaded syringe in his mouth but the poor fella had dental surgery yesterday so we're trying to be the least invasive possible. So, what are your go to non consensual drugging methods for your cat? Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers!
