How do I get my cat to love me?

Throwaway BC this feels pathetic but I'm just sick of not being loved.

My cat has always cuddled with my partner and never me for a while year and a half he's only ever showed any type of affection to him, cuddling with him, sleeping with him, just laying on him, getting excited when he comes in the room and none of that for me. I'm so so sick of it I'm genuinely considering getting a new cat because it's just upsetting to try so hard every day and get absolutely no love. I'm the one that feeds him, treats him, plays with him so why is it me that gets no love?
