my cat has been super affectionate recently, but isn’t showing any other signs of illness
like the title says, my wonderful kitty has been super affectionate recently. He’s always been quite cuddly and loves attention but there was always a clear line he wouldn’t cross ie I can pick him up and pet him but he would never sit on my lap, etc. Recently however, he’s been a lot more snuggly, sitting next to my face, inbetween my legs on the couch, etc. He eats plenty of food, drinks water, and doesn’t have any litter box issues. Aside from occasional post-poop zoomies he’s pretty chill and playful. He has lost a little bit of weight recently but that was under the direction of my vet (he was a bit chubby before).
I have, however, seen posts on here and around the internet that a sudden increase in affection can indicate something wrong. He isn’t displaying any other symptoms that i can identify. The only real change is that recently I’ve been home a lot more so maybe that’s why? I don’t want to ignore what could be an early warning sign but I have gotten anxious about his health before and the vet said everything was fine and was a bit surprised id even brought him in.
