Do I restart the game?

Hi guys I’m considering restarting the game because I am stuck on the Thunderblight ganon boss. Overdramatic? Probably. But hear me out. I started the game very excited and rushed through a lot of the start of the game and by the time I had gotten to Vah Naboris I had completed 2 of the other Vah things and then realised I was supposed to go to the village first thing and talk to the old lady so she would give me the quests when I got into this area. I know it’s not necessarily a must but I feel like I missed out on some details and the storyline a little. I am also fighting him with half used and damaged weapons that break very easily and are 2 handed weapons so I’m taking longer to land my blows and in addition to this I don’t know how to parry like I SUCK. I’m wondering if it is worth me restarting the game and not rushing it because I think I wanted to blast through the game as fast as possible when I started. It was also my first game to play other than animal crossing when I got my switch if that explains my skill level.
