Food safety from other Bozeman restaurants

Dave’s and the sister restaurants (Jam and Revelry) have obviously been under a lot of scrutiny and criticism for the deaths resulting from the mishandled and inept food preparation at Dave’s. For the record, these deaths were 100% a avoidable and their attempt to sweep the event other the rug as an “unfortunate accident” is contemptible.

People often reference on this thread how these restaurants have outstanding violations or RFIs from the Gallatin Valley Health Department. My question is: apart from the mishandling of morels, how do they stack up to other restaurants?

In the restaurants I’ve worked in town, the violations have been minimal (ice scoop not properly stored, or the thermometer in the fridge is in the wrong place), but I have to imagine many other Bozeman restaurants have comparable violations regarding fridge temps, food storage, etc.?

For the record, I don’t plan on eating at Dave’s again, but I am curious if there is a double standard around how we judge their health reports against other restaurants (even if justified). I know many here review those reports on the regular, so I’m curious to hear the breakdown.
