Boomer on the plane

Yesterday traveling west coast USA. Place lands and taxis to gate. Passengers begin the process of collecting items in overhead bins and forming line to disembark. Boomer woman comes up about 10 rows ahead of her seat assignment, stands in aisle, and waits for doors to open. I give her a super dirty look as the line starts to move so she offers to let me go ahead of her. Me: “oh no, I wouldn’t think of it. You’re obviously in a big hurry, since you disregarded a decades long social understanding that the plane empties row by row.” Of course she got all blustery and she says “oh I guess I forgot” Me: “is this your first time traveling by plane?” Her: “no of course not, I’ve traveled the globe” Me: “hmm, do-they do it differently in other places?” Her : “no, I just forgot” Me: “or possibly, you thought your day was more important than everyone else’s and you didn’t think anyone would be brave enough to actually call you out?” Her: speechless. I’m going to start calling out rude people. It gives me kind of a rush !
