Half a drive without regen, any ideas?
After parking for a couple of minutes in the middle of an hour long drive, I suddenly had zero regen once getting back on the road. It was very weird. I was just parked, I hadn't turned the car off.
It's a 2019 Bolt w/183,000 miles.
I had zero regen whatsoever, not in D or L and the paddle didn't do anything. I was using the friction brakes the whole way home. Letting off the pedal on the highway meant it'd just coast as if in neutral. I thought about pulling over to restart the car, but I didn't want it to suddenly throw errors and not start back up. Anyway, after getting home and power cycling the car, it was fine.
My wife tells me that this happened once to her as well a few weeks back.
We never got any on-dash messages. I'll hook up an OBD2 reader when I get a chance.
I know when the 12V goes bad, the car does all sorts of weird things. We're still on our original 12V after 5.5 years, but other than this there's nothing weird happening with the car.
