Starting the age of 4 everyone's quirk tried to influence the person and get it to activate. On izuku's 6th birthday a still not awakend quirk had enough and izuku's body decided it should develop an alergic reaction to air since nothing it did could kill izuku
It def gave izuku an interest in forks and outlets and a reckles personality.
