What to invest $50K in?

I’ve been saving up a down payment to eventually buy a home. I’m 37 years old, I make $64K per year, and I’m debt free. But the older I get, the more I hate the idea of being forced to work a job to pay for a mortgage. So, I’m thinking of taking the $50K I saved up, and opening a taxable brokerage with Vanguard, and investing it! Any recommendations as to what to invest in? I was thinking of targeting index funds that would pay the most in dividends (I would be reinvesting them though for the foreseeable future). I already have a 401k and IRAs with a combined $200K, and I still contribute monthly to them.
