Chalazion won't go away after 2 surgeries. Help!
Long story short. I've been struggling with chalazia for almost 6 months now. The first one started in July (we're in November) in the upper left eyelid, and then another was formed on the lower left one close to the lacrimal. I tried everything including antibiotics and had to get surgery to get the pus out, but they came back in less than a week! I continued treatment and saw a Chinese doctor who gave me a cream he made, teas, acupuncture, cuping. Said I had too much fire and had to be careful with certain foods, etc. I gave up and had surgery again, they again came back in less than a month. Then I continued the Chinese treatment and they seemed to be doing better, they were smaller less noticeable, and then one day I had 2 spicy meals, the next day they were back big. I'm sure maybe the spicy food triggered them = fire. I've been continuing the treatment with no avail. I'm giving up. I will either: look for another surgeon, a different one, or hope they will go away on their own. The doctor said they were recurrent, but I had never had them before.
What would you do? Also on of the doctors recommended removing the glands altogether, though that would give me dry eye problems, but also, she said those glans are probably blocked by the chalazia right now anyways. I haven't particularly felt dry problems. So, why not? I'm thinking...
