Why is ben such a jerk to his girlfriends?
In Alien force ben used to be kind and empathetic towards Julie but from Ultimate Alien onwards he's been such a toxic boyfriend to her. I watched the episode duped the other day and oh boy Ben was even more immature than his child self was in Classic series. He didn't even show remorse for failing to be there for her tennis match, and didn't even apologize for being late or anything, he just kept gloating about how famous he is and took all the attention gladly. Later, he prioritises a dumb movie over going to Julie's final, and chooses the most creative and dumbest way at the same time, while duplicating himself using Echo Echo is a really creative solution, he really mishandled the situation by sending kind and compassionate ben with Kevin and sending narcissistic Ben to her final match, where he openly admitted that he's willing to cheat on her and that her ambitions don't mean anything to him. Later, he tried to cheat on her with eunice, and only tried to get back with her when she moved on from him. Poor Julie didn't deserve any of this as she was always so kind and supportive towards Ben,He got a great second chance with Ester in Omniverse, to not make the same mistakes he did with Julie and grow up to be a more considerate and mature but ben failed to know the value of what he had when he had the chance. After that, he got a great second chance with Ester in Omniverse, to not make the same mistakes he did with Julie and grow up to be a more considerate and mature boyfriend, but he again became very distant and inconsiderate towards her. So my question is, why is ben such a shitty boyfriend towards his love interests?
