Mites… how screwed am I?

Located in northern Illinois. First year beekeeper.

I haven’t done a mite check in awhile. I treated with apivar in the early spring. I installed a 2lb package and when doing a mite check i saw 4 mites.

Over the summer the hive has been strong. Today I was doing an inspection and pulled off some extra comb. There was a queen cell with an almost formed queen and in that cell alone there were 4 mites!!

Is the situation as bad as I think it might be? I’ve pulled off the honey supers.. should I treat with apivar again? Is there a better solution?
