How often do you turn off your printer? Can leaving it on for months at a time become an issue?

I think I last turned it off 2 months ago and turned it back on. I print mostly every day and the days I don’t use it, I still leave it on. Since you don’t really hear the printer running I never felt the need to turn it off.
