I can't open the game, can someone help me?

I have the game on steam and I'm literally unable to play it. Everytime I click it, it needs to move data or do an update. I played it once and ever since then it just does this :(( I'm so frustrated, iI just want to play. The worst part is one time I actually sat it out. For like 3 entire hours and when I finally started it, it just crashed and took me back to "moving data". Aaaaa. Please someone tell me how to fix this please, I beg you
