Cardamom Bun Wreath
Recipe came from Scandinavian From Scratch by Nichole Accettola. It isn’t originally a sourdough recipe, but I added 80 g of active starter and removed 40 g of flour and 40 g of milk. I also used 100 g of bread flour instead of using entirely all purpose flour. I use King Arthur Brand flour.
Filling was difficult to spread so I heated it up a bit in the microwave to help spread it better. I wish I would have added a bit of cornstarch into the filling to prevent it from leaking so much.
Crumb turned out beautiful though! I appreciated how this recipe uses 1/2 of the egg in the dough and has you save the other half for the egg wash. Love that I didn’t have to crack open another egg.
