States with good middle school services?

Hi! I have a 10 year old son who is diagnosed with autism. I live in a state with horrible education and limited resources. For the first few years I struggled to find a school that didn’t physically harm him and refuse to teach him. I lucked out and moved to a district that had an elementary school he loved and treated him like an actually person. He is currently in 4th grade and I plan to keep him there until he is done with 5th. He is in a general education class and is pulled out for speech and social skills. However, since the state has next to no resources, middle school here will not work for him. The only option they have is to put him back into special needs classes and they don’t offer and aide to help him navigate the school and get to his classes. My state also has severe bullying and drug issues, so I don’t feel safe putting him into middle school here.

So basically, I was wondering if anyone lived in a state that has been really good for your child and offers better services? Or if anyone could tell me what middle school looks like in your state for autistic children, I would be very appreciative.
