Book Recs!

Hey guys! I’m currently pursuing an official diagnosis for personal reasons. I suffer with extreme imposter syndrome, but have found a lot of solace in this community and reading books written by autistic late diagnosed women.

I commonly find that my imposter syndrome, anxiety about being misunderstood around NT’s, and general feelings of inadequacy or loneliness are reflected on this forum a lot. Because of that I wanted to start this thread to list book recommendations that have made you feel less alone!

Feel free to share any topic, I mostly wanted to focus on self help for autistic non-binary and female people who are late diagnosed but anything that helped find parts of your self along your own journey is appreciated and welcomed. Please do specify if it’s autism related and if it’s not mention why it helped you.

I’ll start! Autism Related A little less broken by Marian Schembari Arriving late: the lived experience of women receiving a late autism diagnosis by Jodi Lamanna

Not Autism related but helped me recognize I was severely abused by my mom and old friend group Groomed by Elizabeth Melendez and others
